2021 is an odd year. We are all holding our breath, trying to come to terms of the events of 2020 while cautiously looking to see what’s waiting around the next corner. Yet, with or without us, nature continues to travel its course and winter has made way to longer days, blossoms everywhere and bird song. A little grace, when we needed it.
Our annual fundraising, the Hope For Children Golf Day was cancelled in 2020 due to the nationwide Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. This year, however, we welcomed 144 players to the Randpark golf club, for a bigger event than we had ever had before. Tee-off began earlier than usual at 09:30 to accommodate all the players.
This fundraiser serves as our biggest, annual fundraiser. Proceeds of the event go to supporting the four legs/elements of Tshepo:
- Youth development
- Sizanani programme
- Job creation and
- Integrated social work.
We are thankful for a beautiful, blue-sky day, to all the players, the sponsors, 1KR, our community and all the support we’ve been given.
This event, is a lot of grace.
