The annual Tshepo CDI fund raiser took place on Thursday, 30 May 2019 at the Randpark Golf club, on the Firethorn golf course.

The yearly event aims to serve as fund raiser for Tshepo Community Development Initiative and server as our biggest fund raiser each year. With 130 participants this year, it was a big one.

KayaFM, who has been involved as media partner for the Golf day, for many years. This year, we had a lot of support for various corporate sponsors. Sport presenter Mosibodi Whitehead was the Master of Ceremonies.

Two of Tshepo’s projects, that would be the main receivers of the funds donated on the Golf day: the After-care Centre in Windsor that serves more than 30 kids daily with food, academic and emotional support and a safe, fun environment to play is the first. Secondly, a recent addition to Tshepo is the work rehabilitation program, that was started in September 2018. The aim of this program is to equip homeless individuals with skills to reintegrate into society.

Both are a massive task, that are undertaken with great care, prayers and planning.

The golf day was immense successful, with a full field attending the day. It was a beautiful, blue-sky autumn Jozi day.

This was a day of hope, a day of grace and a day of working with our community to keep Tshepo going, to serve our community.
