In 2018 a dream came to reality when different churches of the Linden area were able to appoint a full time social worker based at the Tshepo offices in Northcliff.
Having a social worker at the different soup kitchens means not just giving anymore. We are now looking at people more holistically and in essence ‘teaching them how to fish’.
The new social worker will act as a point of referral for all churches in the area. She will also play a role to bring more cooperation between the different soup kitchens in the area.
